My name is Megan, I'm 18 years old and I'm spending the next year of my life in Africa.

To give you a little background, I've grown up in North Carolina for the majority of my life. I have been brought up in Arlington Church and without the friends I've made there my life would be a different story. God has blessed me with amazing friends and mentors that have helped me to become the person that I am today and I am eternally grateful.

I've changed a lot this past year and I like who I am but I know God's work won't be done until the day I leave here. My life is good. I have amazing friends that mean the world to me. My sister is my best friend and I love that. I have been through some life altering experiences in my past and without Jesus Christ I would not have gotten through it. God has used my Church and my best friends to bring me the support and encouragement I needed time and time again. He has used them to break me of my own desires and follow His.

I love to talk, a lot. I can be odd sometimes. I like to laugh, and when I do I have a "full body" laugh. I try to live my life to please the One that saved me. I will make a difference in this world for the only One that matters. God has changed me so much in the past few years and I am eagerly anticipating the things to come!
